Job Title:  Camp Voyager Counselor
Position Pay:  $13/hr


Position Description:
Valley Country Club is hiring enthusiastic individuals looking to gain practical hands on experience with children in a recreation setting. Under the supervision of the Youth Activities Coordinator, the Camp Voyager Counselor is primarily responsible for the safety of all participants while performing, leading, and assisting in activities (games, swimming, snack) and creating an engaging environment for campers. Camp meets Monday through Friday from May 29- Aug 9. Applicants must be available for training prior to the camp start date during the week of May 13.


Position Requirements:
      Preferred 1+ years of camp counselor or early childhood experience
      Preferred completion of, or working towards, a BA degree in Recreation, Education,
         or related field
      Successful completion of background check
      Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
      CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (training provided within 30 days upon hire) 

Position Expectations and Responsibilities:
      Implement specific camp programming on a daily basis
      Provide a fun, safe, and supportive environment for campers
      Be accountable for the whereabouts and safety of all campers and counselors
         (including self) at all times.
      Report any safety issues immediately to supervisor
      Provide campers with snacks and lunch every day
      Demonstration of games and activities
      Perform administrative record keeping including attendance, sign in/out sheets,
         and accident/incident and behavior reports
      Maintain a courteous, polite, and helpful relationship with all Members and guests
      Supervise and assist with setup and cleanup of camp
      Must be prepared to swim every day
      Preform other duties as assigned


Job Title:   Greenskeeper I
Department:  Golf Course Maintenance
Reports to:  Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, 2nd Assistant Superintendent
FLSA Status:  Non-exempt
Summary:  Responsible for general maintenance conditioning and grooming of the golf course.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
    Ability to operate mowers including but not limited to Greens, Tees, Fairways, Roughs
      Ability to operate tractors, skid steers, lifts
      Ability to operate equipment and perform snow removal responsibilities
      Hand watering localized dry spots during season
      Operate trimmer or rotary mowers around ponds, bunkers, trees, etc.
      Rake bunkers for daily play
      Course setup; up to but not limited to changing cups and tees
      Perform cultural practices
      Cleanup detail and general course cleanup
      Assist with Projects or irrigation
      Maintain equipment in clean and operational manner
      Operate all equipment in a safe and responsible manner
      Attends all staff, educational and safety meetings

Qualifications: 
To perform this job successfully, everyone must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.  this position requires punctuality, great attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond for our Members.  Requirements for this position should be representative of the skill, knowledge and ability list below.  Previous experience within the golf course or green maintenance industry.
Education:  Entry level, there are no educational requirements for this position.  High School diploma or GED preferred.
Language:  Must possess the ability to read and comprehend instructions.  Must possess the ability to write or present information effectively to customers and employees of the organization.
Math Ability:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units.
Reasoning:  Ability to practice common sense understanding to carry out instructions and to help with problems that may arise while working in this environment.
Certificates or License:  Colorado Driver License
Physical and Environment Demands:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to the following:
    Outside weather conditions
    Moving mechanical parts
    Fumes, chemicals, fertilizers, fuels
    Loud environments

Job Title: Pool Food Server / Food Runner

Valley Country Club is a private country club located near the intersections of Jordan Road and Arapahoe Road in Centennial CO. This is a perfect entry level position for someone new to food service and looking for employment Memorial Day to Labor Day. Hours are from 10am to 8pm Tuesday through Sunday.

We are looking for fun, friendly, positive, outgoing personality, self motivated, follows company guidelines, must be willing to work weekends and holidays, reliable, ability to multi-task, must be comfortable working outdoors, at least 16  years of age with preference given to those over 18. You must be able to work all weekends and holidays with limited exceptions. You will be on your feet for 5-8 hours per shift with much of that time in the sun. At the end of the summer you will have tremendous sense of pride, feeling of accomplishment and many new colleagues. 

We are a full service establishment. Duties Include: preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Responsible for food and beverage ordering and delivery. Insures product quality and correctness. Abides by Colorado's state liquor laws. Anticipates guest needs. Stocks products and performs side work as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
